Iosol Iodine is a possession iodine formulation that has been in whole use for the past fifty years. I am often asked what the unlikeness is in the middle of this iodine supplement and others, and many have asked what the source of the iodine is that is used in Iosol.

Iosol Iodine is in my concept the premier iodine supplement on the shop today. This is because of the superior water solubility of the iodine. This feature makes free iodide easily ready for your body to use.

Potassium IOdide

There are two sources of iodine in the Iosol formulation. One is from kelp. Iodine in kelp is naturally in the form of potassium iodide. However, potassium iodine is not very soluble in water and may be difficult for your body to really use. For example, if you get liquid potassium iodide on your clothes it causes a permanent stain of red. If you get Iosol on your clothes the red will evaporate out in a few minutes or easily come out with washing. In fact, potassium iodide has been shown to congest the thyroid gland when taken in high doses - which is how Hashimoto's thyroiditis was first discovered (Japanese citizens captivating too many sea vegetables). This is why I don't use potassium iodide in any supplement I produce. While the output of Iosol, iodine is extracted from kelp and made into pure iodine crystals. This is an unbound form of iodine, not potassium iodide.

The second form of iodine used is ammonium iodide, a form that easily dissolves in water. These two forms of iodine are combined in a possession manner in a base of vegetable glycerin.

Ammonium iodide is a compound of the mineral iodine and ammonium (Nh4). This is a synthesized compound, not derived from a food source. It has superior bioavailability as the iodine easily disassociates from the ammonium upon exposure to water, producing a free iodide ion - exactly what your body would like to use in metabolism.

Some population think that ammonium (Nh4) sounds like some sort of toxin, compared to potassium or sodium iodide. This is far from the case. As dissimilar from ammonium, ammonia (Nh3) is an irritant gas with a pungent odor. Anhydrous ammonia (meaning no water in the ammonia) is the third most synthesized chemical in the U.S., with one-third of it used by the farming commerce as fertilizer and animal feed. The ability to fix nitrogen in some type of compound is vital to the increase of plants and crops. Many household cleaning products use ammonia in the form of Nh3 plus water.

Ammonium is a original source of nitrogen for humans. It is involved in many cellular chemistry reactions essential for health. As dietary protein is metabolized ammonium is produced. The liver converts any extra ammonium to urea, which is really cleared straight through the urea cycle. The estimate of ammonium in Iosol can act as a nutrient in general cell metabolism or it can easily be cleared by the liver. The estimate of ammonium in a dose of Iosol is trivial compared to the estimate of ammonium produced in disposition protein metabolism.

Ammonium toxicity in humans occurs from excess consumption of protein or from liver disease wherein the urea cycle does not function well. If you touch headaches or excess irritability following a high protein meal or while on a high protein diet you may have too much protein in your diet (resulting in too much ammonium).

The lowest line is that Iosol Iodine is a very safe and efficient form of iodine to use as a dietary supplement. In my touch over the past twenty years it has routinely produced excellent results.

What is the dose of Iosol?

The most ordinarily used dose of Iosol is 1 drop of the preparation in a few ounces of water, taken once a day. Each drop has 1.8 mg of iodine or 1200% of the government's recommended daily value. If you would like to get only 100% of the daily value then take 1 tsp of a compound of 1 drop of Iosol in 2 ounces of water; however, most population like taking more than this.

Adequate iodine tends to keep your head more awake While the day, helps retain your energy level, and helps you warm up (if you are cold).* Many population take 1-5 drops of Iosol per day, using sufficient to feel warmer and more energetic. While this can be taken all at once in the morning, some like to split the dose and take some in the afternoon as well.

Some population find that taking iodine every day really helps to retain metabolism. Others find that they only need to take it once or twice a week. Regardless of the dose used or frequency of the dose, the goal is to observation energy support. And if you are too cold, someone else goal is to warm up. Iosol Iodine is one of the best nutrients for natural thyroid support.*

Chemicals in Wastewater - Why Oxygen is Crucial to treatment

Review

In this report I take a close look at the definite reactions of commonly found commercial chemicals in wastewater, in the presence of oxygen, as well as in its absence, and the part they play in the chemistry of wastewater.

Dissolved Oxygen In Wastewater

Potassium IOdide

If there are chemicals in wastewater like dissolved oxygen (O2) and Potassium Hydroxide (Koh), the Manganous Sulfate present in wastewater can be turned into Manganic Sulfate. During this reaction a brown colored precipitate is formed called the Manganic Hydroxide. This will dissolve in Sulphuric Acid (H2So4) and form Manganic Sulfate.

But if there are other chemicals in wastewater like Potassium Iodide (Ki), then this Sulfate can react with it to breakdown and liberate Iodine. In testing laboratories, when analyzing the chemistry of wastewater, this final product is titrated with Hypo. For this titration starch serves as the indicator.

The above reactions are represented below.

The following chemical reaction occurs in the absence of dissolved oxygen:
MnSo4 +2Koh -> Mn(Oh)2 + K2So4
Manganese Sulphate reacts with Potassium Hydroxide to give Manganese Hydroxide and Potassium Sulfate. This reaction gives a precipitate which is white in color.

The following reaction occurs in the presence of dissolved oxygen
2Mn(Oh)2 + O2 -> 2MnO(Oh)2
Manganese Hydroxide reacts with dissolved Oxygen giving Dihydroxidooxidomanganate. This reaction gives a precipitate which is brown in color.

The other chemical reactions are as follows:
MnO(Oh)2 + 2H2So4 -> Mn(So4)2 + 3H2O
Dihydroxidooxidomanganate plus Sulphuric Acid gives Manganese Sulphate and water

Mn(So4)2 + 2Ki -> MnSo4 + K2So4 + I2
The reaction of Manganese Sulphate with Potassium Iodide gives Manganese Sulphate, Potassium Sulfate and Iodine. The consequent is the disunion of Iodine.

And here's the final reaction:
2Na2S2O3 + I2 -> Na2S4O6 + 2NaI
The Sodium Oxide Sulfide formed in wastewater reacts with Iodine to give Sodium Tetrathionate and Sodium Iodide

As we have seen, wastewater that carries commercial effluents contains separate chemicals in varying concentration. Hence it is foremost to know about their reaction both in the presence and absence of oxygen, as it plays a vital part in wastewater treatment.

Potassium Iodide Isn't adequate For Radiation protection

Experts tell us to take Potassium Iodide or Iodate to protect us from a radioative threat, whether now or in the future. This expert guidance has caused a massive buy-up of this product, making it difficult to get. But does it assuredly provide much safety anyway?

The radioactive elements to worry about consist of radioactive Cesium, Iodine, Uranium and Strontium 90. Cesium acts like Potassium, a vital mineral for the body. Potassium Iodide or Iodate does not provide enough Potassium to keep Cesium from being absorbed, so extra Potassium would be needed in time of radioactivity exposure. I do not propose taking level Potassium. Too much Potassium can potentially cause abnormal heart beats. Your Potassium should come from a product that has Potassium and other minerals as part of a whole food.

Potassium IOdide

The IodIde in Potassium Iodide is a form of IodIne, which is vital for the thyroid gland and some other organs to work. Potassium Iodide can only help protect your thyroid gland but does nothing to protect the rest of your body, and it does not provide IodIne, which is the natural source that the thyroid uses to invent thyroid hormones. It is far better to take a source of IodIne, especially since most population in North America are deficient in iodine to begin with. That is why so many population have sluggish thyroid glands. I propose taking an iodine source such as Prolamine Iodine, not only to protect the thyroid gland from radioactivity Iodine, but on a regular basis for good thyroid function.

Also, Potassium Iodide cannot protect you from radioactive metals such as Uranium and Strontium 90, which is a radioactive metal similar in nature to calcium. It can get absorbed into your bones and can cause bone cancer or immune system suppression. To rid these metals from your body, a good metal chelator is needed.

If we do get exposed to radioactivity, I also propose a whole food source of sulfur-containing nutrients such as Spanish Black Radish to help the liver produce glutathione, the body's natural detoxification chemical. Additionally, I propose a whole food supplement to heighten the kidney's potential to excrete radioactive toxins straight through the urine, and whole food sources of vitamins C and E.

Whole "living" food supplements offer first-rate safety to synthetic, laboratory-made chemical supplements. Whole foods consist of plants which have natural chemicals in them that protect them from the radiation of the sun, so eating these plants can protect us from radiation too. Potassium Iodide and Iodate are artificial chemicals, not whole foods.

Although the thyroid gland is very important to protect, there's more to our bodies to protect than just the thyroid gland. And that is all Potassium Iodide will protect. Using only Potassium Iodide at the time of a radiation threat can be dead wrong.
